As a newborn photographer in Sydney who has captured many newborn sessions, I know there is nothing more precious, more beautiful and more rewarding than photographing the first memories of a newborn baby! Their tiny feet and hands, their silky smooth skin, their presence and peacefulness just melts my heart every time!
Every newborn is different. You can't tell a baby what to do, You can only be patient, nurturing and persistent, then the shots will follow. As a Sydney baby photographer, I know the importance of listening to what bub wants in order to get the best possible photos.

My Eye Photography provides professional baby photos at a reasonable cost. To make life easier for parents, we come to you. In the comfort of your own home.
There’s no need to worry about a thing. We bring the props with us! Our style is very natural, we set up the shots but like them looking natural by using natural window light. We avoid using flash as we do not like to use it on babies developing eyes. Newborn babies are best to be photographed in the first couple of weeks. Newborn sessions take place during the week.
We allocate 2 hours per session and capture as many combinations as you like in this time. Usually we photograph the family together, mum and bub, dad and bub, baby, baby and siblings and even include pets too! When is the best time to book my newborn photoshoot in Sydney?
As a Sydney newborn photographer, I recommend booking in your newborn session within the first 2 weeks of your newborn's life. This is the time when they are most sleepy. However, we can still take ‘newborn’ photos of your baby up to 6 weeks of age.
When should we book-in our newborn baby photography session?
It is best to book in a session when you are in the last month of your third trimester, when you have a better idea on your estimated delivery date. When you are in hospital it is best to confirm your booking date.
Where does the shoot take place?
To make life easy, we photograph in hospital or in the comfort of your home. I specialise in baby photography, and absolutely love capturing all the special memories for you.
Do I need to prepare items for my baby?
I provide props, headbands, blankets, rugs and wraps for your baby’s newborn photography session. However, if you have any particular item that is special to you or wish to use your own, We are happy for you to show us these and we can incorporate them into the photos.
Do you take family photos during the newborn photography shoot?
Absolutely! Photos with mum, dad, siblings and even pets are SUPER important. All sessions include taking the full range of family photos.
What do we wear for our newborn photography shoot?
For the photographs of Mum, Dad and siblings, your clothing should complement each other in colour tones. We photograph from the waist up so be comfortable! I recommend soft or neutral colours, otherwise blacks or navy’s. The best way to capture bub in their most comfortable state is through baby lifestyle photography, something I am extremely passionate about. I love providing you with everlasting memories.
Do you offer digital files?
Yes! We have digital packages you can purchase as well as prints, frames, canvas, acrylic, albums and many more.
What is the turnaround time?
Two weeks from your session your newborn photos will be up and ready to view on our private online gallery. You can then simply choose what you wish to purchase via the website and we will send your order to post. Digital order take an additional 2 weeks. Prints, Albums, Canvas, Acrylic and Framing take an additional 4 weeks.
