As a family photographer capturing one's precious life throughout one's Milestone is just so precious and priceless. I absolutely love family photography, one of my favourite things is to capture a newborn baby and then a few years down the track capture them as little people who are able to interact.

Another is to capture extended family portraits, this is always a special gift for grandparents. There is nothing else they love more than their grandchildren. How long does a family photography session take?

We allow up to 2 hours to capture a wide range of family portraits. That gives us enough time to work with toddler tantrums, different dynamics and a few different backgrounds.

What locations do you photograph at for our family session?

We generally photograph at a beautiful location called Breakfast Point. We also can come to your home and photograph in your backyard or if there is a specific park/beach you wish to go to let us know.

What Is a good age to photograph families outdoors?

When your baby is sitting or up and walking. Toddlers are better outdoors than indoors as we can capture them adventuring the location.

What is the turnaround time?

We’ll usually deliver your online gallery or digital files on USB within two weeks of the shoot. Any prints such as canvas, frames, albums etc take a couple more weeks, usually 4.

What do we do if we’re camera shy?

There’s no need to worry. Consider it a casual catch up where we start with getting to know each other. Candid shots are our specialty! We let you interact with your loved ones and let your kids adventure. That’s when the most natural shots magically happen.

How do we prepare? What do we wear?

It is best to stick to neutral colours, soft colours, denims, tans, navy’s, whites, creams. Try to coordinate your outfits so you somewhat match. Avoid too many patterns too bright in colours. In summer for men Shorts and rolled up shirts always look good and for the ladies, flowy summer dresses are beautiful. Keep it smart casual.

What if it rains on our shoot day?

We will keep an eye on the weather the week of your session. If it is raining heavy we will reschedule your session to another day. Overcast days a generally the best weather to photograph outside.

What is the maximum number of people you can capture in a shoot?

We photograph as many people as you like. We tend to capture a lot of extended family including cousins, uncles and aunties and grandparents. We can talk about these kinds of shoots with you further.

How much are outdoor sessions?

Portrait sessions are $570 which included 50-100 high and low res digital files. If you wish to purchase a print, frame, canvas, album etc please let us know and we will send you our product price list. This session includes as many people and a combination of photos as you like.

Can we include pets?

Yes! Pets are just as much part of the family. We love to photograph families with their animals. Make sure your pet is well groomed and you bring treats with you to your session to help them connect with the camera and stay still on demand.

When is the best time to book?

It is best to book in your session at least 3 weeks in advance. During the summer period we are mostly booked out quickly with events on the weekend so if you wish to have a weekend session you will need to book as soon as possible. School holidays during the week is always a good time if you can as usually the parks are quieter on a weekday. Sessions are best in the morning or late afternoon due to lighting.
